Indonesia's Greenhouse Gas Emission Condition

In the G20, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) is one of the ministries/agencies involved in fulfilling the New Data Gaps Initiative. One of them is related to Climate Change to fulfill the recommendations of Greenhouse Gas Emission Accounts and National Carbon Footprints.

Among the various types of greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide is still the type of greenhouse gas that is most often monitored for its development. In the 2015-2019 period, carbon dioxide emissions in the business sector tend to increase from year to year.

When viewed based on business fields, the Electricity and Gas Procurement Business Field became the largest contributor to CO2 emissions in Indonesia during 2015-2019.
