In order to improve the quality of data management at the village level, the Central Statistics Agency of Trenggalek Regency held an event to declare 100 Percent Village of Love Statistics (Desa Cantik) in Trenggalek Regency. This event was held on Tuesday, September 17 2024, at the same time as the Inauguration and Submission of the Trenggalek Regent's Decree regarding the Increase in BPD Membership Period, at the Manggala Praja Nugraha Hall, Trenggalek Regency.
The highlight of the event was marked by remarks from the Regent of Trenggalek, Moch. Nur Arifin at the same time officially launched 100 Percent Beautiful Villages in 2024 for Trenggalek Regency. In this event, the Charter for the Declaration of 100 Percent Village of Love Statistics for Trenggalek Regency was signed by the Regent of Trenggalek, the Head of BPS East Java Province, the Head of BPS Trenggalek Regency, the Head of the Trenggalek Regency PMD Service, the Head of the Trenggalek Regency Diskomifo, and the Head of Bappedalitbang Trenggalek Regency. Apart from that, certificates of appreciation were also given to 3 villages that had carried out development of Beautiful Villages in 2024, namely Gamping Village, Suruh District, Sukorejo Village, Gandusari District, and Karanganom Village, Durenan District.
Head of BPS East Java Province, Dr. Ir. Zulkipli explained that the Desa Cantik program is very important because it helps villages unlock the potential of data for village and regional development. This event was also attended by 14 sub-district heads and 152 village heads throughout Trenggalek Regency. With the declaration of 100 Percent Desa Cantik, it is hoped that villages will be able to build village data so that the development planning process can be right on target.
