Jawa Timur Farmer Exchange Rate March 2019

East Java Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in March 2019 fell 0.31 percent from 107.72 to 107.39. The decline in NTP was due to the price index received by farmers (It) experienced a smaller increase compared to the increase in the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
    In March 2019, three agricultural sub-sectors experienced a decline in NTP, while two sub-sectors experienced an increase. The sub-sector experiencing the largest decrease in FTT occurred in the Food Crop sub-sector by 1.45 percent from 110.57 to 108.96, followed by the Fisheries sub-sector by 0.81 percent from 114.27 to 113.35, and the Livestock sub-sector by 0.52 percent from 111.77 to 111.19. While the largest increase in NTP occurred in the Community Plantation Plant sub-sector by 1.24 percent from 104.11 to 105.40, and the Horticulture sub-sector by 1.09 percent from 99.10 to 100.18.
    Of the five provinces in Java that calculated NTP in March 2019, three provinces experienced a decline in NTP while the rest experienced an increase. The largest decrease in NTP occurred in West Java Province at 1.36 percent, followed by Banten Province at 0.50 percent, and East Java Province at 0.31 percent. While the increase in NTP occurred in the Special Province of Yogyakarta by 0.77 percent, and Central Java Province by 0.15 percent.
