Abstract

  • Foreign tourist arrivals (tourists) who came to East Java through the entrance of Juanda in September 2019 fell by 30.36 percent compared to August, namely from 29,751 visits to 20,719 visits.
  • The number of foreign tourists visiting September 2019 decreased by 16.57 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the same period in 2018 which reached 24,835 visits.
  • Most tourists in September were Malaysians who reached 5,343 visits, down 32.88 percent, followed by Singapore's nationality with 2,535 visits or down 24.73 percent, and Chinese nationality of 2,338 visits or a decrease of 9.41 percent compared to August 2019.
  • Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in East Java in September 2019 reached 54.18 percent or down 0.31 points compared to the previous month. The ROR for 2-star hotels (57.2 percent) is the highest ROR compared to ROR for other star-rated hotels.
  • The average length of stay of foreign guests at star-rated hotels in September 2019 reached 2.43, up 0.08 points compared to August 2019 which reached 2.35 days. The overall RLMT in September 2019 was 1.68 days, up 0.02 points, compared to August which reached 1.66 days.
