Abstract

The economy of Jawa Timur based on the amount of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on the current price in 2019 reached Rp 2,352.43 trillion and at the base of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp 1,650.14 trillion.
The economy of Jawa Timur in 2019 (c-to-c) grew 5.52 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Business Field in Providing Accommodation and Food and Drink at 7.58 percent, followed by Health Services and Social Activities at 7.55 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth of LNPRT Consumption Expenditures was 5.97 percent, followed by PMTB 4.92 percent and Household Consumption Expenses 4.81 percent.
Economy of Jawa Timur Quarter IV-2019 compared to Quarter IV-2018 (y-on-y) grew by 5.54 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Educational Services Business Sector at 8.56 percent, followed by the Information and Communication Business Field at 8.39 percent, and the Business in Providing Accommodations and Food and Drink at 8.04 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth of PMTB was 5.38 percent; followed by Household Consumption Expenses by 4.74 percent and Government Consumption Expenses by 3.63 percent.

In q-to-q Jawa Timur economy, Quarter IV-2019 contracted 1.68 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Education Services Business Sector at 5.75 percent, followed by Government Administration, Defense and Compulsory Social Security for Educational Services at 5.58 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, it was mainly influenced by Government Consumption Expenditures which grew 9.71 percent; PMTB 1.37 percent and LNPRT Consumption Expenditures 1.20 percent.
