Abstract

Foreign tourist arrivals (tourists) who came to East Java through the entrance of Juanda in January 2020 fell by 17.03 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists visiting December 2019, namely from 20,546 visits to 17,047 visits.
The number of foreign tourists visiting January 2020 increased by 23.60 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the same period in 2019 which reached 13,792 visits.
Most foreign tourists are Malaysian nationals reaching 4,603 visits, down 29.77 percent, followed by Singapore nationalities with 1,873 visits or down 40.52 percent, and Chinese nationalities totaling 1,784 visits or down by 6.65 percent compared to December 2019.
Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in East Java in January 2020 reached 48.69 percent, down 14.08 points compared to the previous month. The ROR for two-star hotels (51.5 percent) is the highest ROR compared to the ROR for other starred hotels.
The average length of stay of foreign guests (RLMT) at star hotels in January 2020 reached 2.66 or decreased 0.67 points compared to December 2019 which reached 3.33 days. The overall RLMT in January 2020 was 1.60 days, down 0.06 points when compared to December 2019 which reached 1.66 days.
