East Java's exports in March 2020 were USD 1.99 Billion, or down 0.24 percent

Abstract

• The value of East Java exports in March 2020 reached USD 1.99 billion, down by 0.24 percent compared to February 2020. The value compared to March 2019 rose by 9.90 percent.

• Non-oil and gas exports in March 2020 reached USD 1.94 billion, an increase of 1.90 percent compared to February. This value compared to March 2019 rose by 12.21 percent.

• March 2020 oil and gas exports reached USD 42.55 million, down by 49.12 percent compared to February. This value also fell by 43.32 percent when compared to March 2019.

• The main categories of non-oil and gas exports in March 2020 were Jewelry / Gems totaling USD 586.84 million, followed by Timber and Wood Goods totaling USD 125.44 million and Animal / Vegetable Fats and Oils totaling USD 114.63 million.

• Cumulatively, during January-March 2020, exports out of East Java amounted to USD 5.77 billion, up 15.02 percent compared to January-March 2019, amounting to USD 5.02 billion.

• The Import Value of East Java in March 2020 reached USD 1.79 billion, an increase of 11.27 percent compared to February. This figure has increased by 1.02 percent compared to March 2019.

• Non-oil and gas imports in March 2020 reached USD 1.49 billion, up 22.95 percent compared to February. The value of non-oil and gas imports decreased by 0.79 percent compared to March 2019.

• March 2020 oil and gas imports amounted to USD 296.62 million or decreased by 24.74 percent compared to February. Compared to March 2019, the value rose by 11.24 percent.

• The main categories of non-oil and gas imports in March 2020 were the Iron and Steel (HS 72) goods group at USD 155.91 million, followed by the Mechanical Machinery / Aircraft (HS 84) goods group valued at USD 144.57 million and the Jewelry items group / Permata (HS 71) in the amount of USD 129.02 Million.

• Cumulatively, during January-March 2020, imports entering East Java amounted to USD 5.42 billion or decreased by 2.68 percent compared to January-March 2019, which amounted to USD 5.57 billion
