Abstract

  • East Java's export value in May 2020 reached USD 1.25 billion, down 8.25 percent compared to April 2020. This value compared to May 2019 decreased by 30.82 percent.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in May 2020 reached USD 1.24 billion, down 9.53 percent compared to April 2020. This value compared to May 2019 decreased by 28.24 percent.
  • Oil and gas exports in May 2020 reached USD 18.09 million, an increase of 2,622.75 percent compared to April 2020. The value decreased by 80.03 percent when compared to May 2019.
  • The main categories of non-oil and gas exports in May 2020 are Jewelry / Gems (HS 71) with a value of USD 278.07 million, followed by Copper (HS 74) with a value of USD 110.18 million and Animal and vegetable fats and oils (HS 15 ) with a value of USD 101.62 million.
  • The Import Value of East Java in May 2020 reached USD 1.26 billion, down by 30.21 percent compared to April 2020 by 38.70 percent compared to May 2019.
  • Non-oil and gas imports in May 2020 reached USD 1.11 billion, down 32.40 percent compared to April 2020. The value of non-oil and gas imports decreased by 32.50 percent compared to May 2019.
  • Oil and gas imports in May 2020 amounted to USD 153.45 million or decreased by 8.89 percent compared to April 2020. Compared to May 2019, the value decreased by 63.19 percent.
  • The main non-oil and gas import goods in May 2020 are the Mechanical Machinery / Aircraft (HS 84) goods group at USD 140.94 million, followed by the Food Industry / Waste Industry (HS23) goods group at USD 97.43 million and the Plastic and goods group plastic goods (HS 39) in the amount of USD 66.69 million.
