Abstract

Foreign tourist arrivals (tourists) who came to East Java through the entrance of Juanda in May 2020 decreased by 42.86 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists visiting April 2020, namely from 21 visits to 12 visits.
The number of foreign tourists visiting in May 2020 decreased by 99.92 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the same period in 2019 which reached 14,529 visits.
During the period of January - May 2020, most tourists were Malaysians who reached 10,451 visits (with a contribution of 30.25 percent), followed by Singapore nationality with 3,938 visits (with a contribution of 11.40 percent), and Chinese nationality of 2,288 visits (with contribution of 6.62 percent).
Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in East Java in May 2020 reached 16.06 percent, up 0.24 points compared to the previous month. The ROR for 3-star hotels (18.14 percent) is the highest ROR compared to the ROR for other starred hotels.
The Average Length of Stay of Foreign Guests (RLMT) in star hotels in May 2020 reached 5.24 or up 2.30 points compared to April 2020 which reached 2.94 days. The overall RLMT in May 2020 was 1.75 days, down 0.03 points compared to April 2020, which reached 1.78 days.
