Abstract
• In November 2020, East Java experienced inflation of 0.26 percent. Of the eight CPI cities in East Java, all experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Sumenep with 0.82 percent. Meanwhile, the lowest inflation occurred in Banyuwangi and Surabaya at 0.20 percent.
• Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in some of the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.24 percent, the clothing and footwear group by 0.08 percent, the household equipment group by 0.12 percent , the health group by 0.40 percent, and the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.17 percent. While the groups experiencing deflation were the housing, electricity and household fuels group by 0.03 percent, the transportation group by 0.21 percent and the personal care and other services group by 0.47 percent. Meanwhile, the information, communication and financial services group, the recreation group, sports, culture and education groups did not experience any changes.
• The inflation rate for the calendar year November 2020 is 0.98 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (November 2020 against November 2019) is 1.50 percent.
