East Java Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in March 2022 decreased 0.16 percent

Abstract

  • The East Java Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in March 2022 fell 0.16 percent from 101.72 to 101.55. The decrease in NTP was due to the increase in the price index received by farmers (It) by 0.28 percent, lower than the increase in the price index paid by farmers (Ib) by 0.45 percent.
  • In March 2022, two agricultural sub-sectors experienced a decrease in FTT while the other three sub-sectors experienced an increase. The sub-sector that experienced the largest decrease in FTT occurred in the Food Crops sub-sector by 1.66 percent from 103.11 to 101.40, followed by the Fisheries sub-sector by 0.79 percent from 103.89 to 103.07. On the other hand, the sub-sector that experienced the largest increase in FTT was the Horiculture sub-sector by 3.59 percent from 100.01 to 103.60, followed by the Livestock sub-sector by 1.48 percent from 99.67 to 101.15 and the People's Plantation sub-sector by 0.54 percent. from 100.11 to 100.65.
  • Five provinces in Java that calculated NTP in March 2022, four provinces experienced a decrease in NTP while one province experienced an increase. The largest decrease in NTP occurred in Banten Province by 1.70 percent, followed by West Java by 0.37 percent, Central Java by 0.21 percent and East Java by 0.16 percent. Meanwhile, the increase in NTP occurred in the Special Region of Yogyakarta by 0.33 percent.
