Abstract

  • The East Java Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) in Quarter II-2019 was 127.00, illustrating the economic condition of consumers is much better than in the first quarter of 2019, because the level of optimism increased by 21.56 points compared to the previous quarter which only reached 105.
  • ITK East Java Quarter III-2019 is estimated at 100.18, lower by 26.82 points compared to Quarter II 2019. Although it is down, it still shows optimism because the index is still above 100, this decline is mainly due to household income not as big as the previous quarter.
  • National ITK in the second quarter of 2019 is lower than East Java, which is 125.68. Likewise in Quarter III - 2019, ITK East Java is estimated to reach 100.18 is above the National (100.03). ITK Quarter II-2019 East Java occupies the fourth position (127.00) compared to other provinces in Java. The first position is occupied by DKI Jakarta (129.82), and the last position is West Java with an index of 124.97.
  • ITK estimates in the third quarter of 2019, East Java Province occupies the third position (100.18) compared to other provinces in Java. Banten Province in the first position (105.24), while the lowest this time occurred in DKI Jakarta with ITK of 96.90, with DI Yogjakarta (99.65) being areas with ITK below 100.
