Abstract

The Jawa Timur Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) in Quarter III - 2019 was recorded at 99.44 depicting the economic condition of consumers declining compared to Quarter II - 2019, a decrease of 27.56 made optiism drop below 100.
Jawa Timur ITK Quarter IV-2019 is estimated at 103.14, more than 3.70 points compared to Quarter III-2019. This increase shifts the tendency of consumers from pessimistic to optimistic because the index is above 100. This increase is mainly due to household income that rises above 100 (108.28) to support the Christmas and New Year events.
National ITK in Quarter III-2019 was 101.03 higher than Jawa Timur(99.44). Likewise in Quarter IV-2019, it is estimated that Jawa Timur's ITK will reach 103.14, lower than the National, which is estimated to reach 103.80.
ITK Quarter III - 2019 Jawa Timur occupies the last position (99.44) compared to other provinces in Java. The first position is occupied by Banten (106.48), second DIY (103.47), third DKI Jakarta (101.67), fourth Jawa Barat (99.53) and fifth Jawa Tengah (99.48).
Jawa Timur's ITK estimate in the fourth quarter of 2019 was 103.14, placing fifth compared to other provinces in Java. DI Yogyakarta in the first position (108.03), followed by DKI Jakarta (107.26), Jawa Barat (105.34), Banten (105.23), and the last position was Jawa Tengah (101.47).
