Abstract

  • East Java Farmer Exchange Rates (NTP) in February 2020 fell 0.79 percent from 103.98 to 103.16. The decline in FTT is due to the price index received by farmers (IT) has decreased, while the price index paid by farmers (Ib) has increased.
  • In February 2020, four agricultural subsectors experienced a decline in FTT, while the rest experienced increases. The subsector that experienced the largest decrease in FTT occurred in the Horticulture Subsector by 2.02 percent from 107.10 to 104.94, followed by the Fisheries Subsector by 1.69 percent from 99.96 to 98.27, the Food Crop Subsector by 1.24 percent from 106.77 to 105.45, and the Plantation Plantation Subsector by 0.17 percent from 98.62 to 98.45. While the Subsector that experienced an increase in FTT was the Livestock Subsector by 0.78 percent from 98.44 to 99.21.
  • Of the five provinces in Java that did NTP calculations in February 2020, three provinces experienced an increase in NTP while two provinces experienced a decline. The largest increase in FTT occurred in Banten Province by 0.32 percent, followed by Yogyakarta Special Province by 0.03 percent, and West Java Province by 0.01 percent. While NTP of East Java Province decreased by 0.79 percent, and Central Java Province by 0.71 percent.
