Abstract

• East Java Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) in September 2020 increased by 0.54 percent from 99.83 to 100.36. The increase in NTP was due to the price index received by farmers (It) which increased by 0.48 percent, while the price index paid by farmers (Ib) decreased by 0.06 percent.
• In September 2020, two agricultural sub-sectors experienced an increase in NTP and three sub-sectors experienced a decrease. The sub-sectors that experienced the largest NTP increase occurred in the Food Crops sub-sector by 1.46 percent from 101.95 to 103.44, and the People's Plantation sub-sector by 0.32 percent from 98.39 to 98.70. While the sub-sectors that experienced a decline in NTP were the Horticulture sub-sector by 1.87 percent from 90.97 to 89.27, followed by the Animal Husbandry sub-sector, namely 0.45 percent from 99.79 to 99.34, and the Fisheries sub-sector by 0.30 percent from 97 , 11 to 96.81.
• Of the five provinces in Java Island that calculated their NTP in September 2020, four provinces experienced an increase in NTP, and one province experienced a decrease. The largest increase in NTP occurred in the province of Central Java by 0.82 percent, followed by Banten with 0.76 percent, East Java with 0.54 percent and West Java province by 0.46 percent. Meanwhile, the province that experienced a decrease in NTP was the province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta by 0.67 percent.
